Heavy Duty Hangers PlayNation uses heavy duty swing hangers on all swing beams. Our unique spring clips allow you to adjust your swings to any height.

All Bolt Construction PlayNation play sets are built with galvanized bolt and lag hardware. Nails that can work loose are never used in our play sets.

Vinyl Coated Swing Chains We use only vinyl dipped swing chains. These chains won’t pinch little fingers or rust like plastic sleeved swing chains. Our trapeze bar is coated in the same vinyl for a long-lasting, durable grip.

Safer Steps All PlayNation units come with the heaviest steps made. Steps are much safer than rungs and will not allow a child to slip and fall through.

Adjustable Swing Beam A 4” x 6” adjustable swing beam is a standard feature on all PlayNation units. The extra heavy beams make all our equipment extremely sturdy. All corners are rounded and sanded smooth.

Our lumber comes from “Certified” forests which have been approved to be harvested and replanted so that these resources remain sustainable. Premium Preserved Pine
Our Premium Preserved Pine is grown and milled in the U.S.A. It is then double kiln dried to minimize shrinkage, warping, and cupping. Because our pine has been “pre-shrunk”, the hardware used to assemble your play set will hold tight, stay tight, and won’t loosen or weaken. PlayNation’s Premium Preserved Pine uses one of the only wood preservation systems that is EPA approved. All of our pine lumber is preserved with the latest and safest wood preservative available to protect against termite attack and fungal decay - all while remaining clean, odorless, non-staining, and non-irritating to humans, animals, or plants. Some of our play sets feature our maintenance-free Timber Shield protective poly coating. These attractive, splinter-free, Preserved Pine timbers are coated with a thick, green, polyethylene casing that shields the wood from the weather, making them virtually maintenance free. Our Premium Preserved Pine can withstand harsh weather conditions with minimal maintenance, making PlayNation the best choice in pine lumber built swing sets.

California Redwood with Western Red Cedar
Our Beautiful California Redwood with Western Red Cedar play sets are a natural alternative to preserved lumber. California Redwood naturally resists rot and decay caused by the environment or by insect infestation, while Western Red Cedar is a preferred wood for purposes where an attractive appearance and resistance to weather is important.

Cunninghamia Lanceolata
Becoming very popular because of its redwood and cedar like properties, Cunninghamia Lanceolata is used where a natural resistance to the elements is desired. It is these properties, combined with its excellent durability that PlayNation has chosen it as the roof material of choice on all of our wood roofs. You will also find this popular wood in the construction of our Ready to Assemble sets.

Premium Preserved Pine
All of our pine play sets come standard with a factory applied Amber Stain/Sealant. Unstained/un-sealed units can be special ordered.

• Amber Stain/Sealant ~ This popular combination provides extra protection from discoloration, sun exposure, and water absorption - all while displaying a beautiful amber finish.
• Unstained/Un-sealed ~ If you have to meet certain color choice requirements to satisfy a Home Owners Association, or if you want to choose a color to matches your home or deck, you can special order any of our pine units unstained.

California Redwood with Western Red Cedar
All of our California Redwood with Western Red Cedar play sets receive a factory applied Redwood Stain/Sealant. This beautiful finish provides the necessary and specific protection that redwood requires. To maintain this attractive appearance, it is recommended that you seal your redwood with cedar play set once per year.
